Permanent Parking (2025—Ongoing)

This ongoing series documents the afterlives of cars across the Sunset district. Parked for months or years, they shift from vehicles into monuments of disuse—wrapped in tarps, rust, and overgrowth. Their stillness mirrors the pace of residential life, turning them into unintentional sculptures of time and neglect.

Shot on film during neighborhood walks, the work evokes a cinematic nostalgia where decay reveals an unintended beauty. By lingering on these cars, the project asks what stories they hold, and what it means for objects built for motion to become fixtures of stasis.
